The GA Group Pte Ltd presents Global Diaspora Business Summit 2016 (GDBS) that will be held in conjunction with Trade and Services Summit and Climate Change & Food Security Summit. This years’ event is also held in conjunction with the 3rd ASEAN Legal Alliance Legal Conference.

The event has been designed specifically for successful diaspora global entrepreneurs to meet and discuss mutually beneficial business opportunities available in Singapore, the region and in the diaspora countries. This forum will act as a platform to showcase your successful business models for recognition and will also serve as an inspiration to upcoming entrepreneurs. The theme of GDBS 2016 is “Connecting Diaspora Business across regions” which intends to share insights on opportunities brought about by the development in economies of China, ASEAN and India. With the ASEAN Legal Alliance Legal Conference being held together, it is envisaged that a legal framework can be mapped out for issues that may arise as business opportunities are considered and exploited under the new developments in the region.

THE GLOBAL DIASPORA BUSINESS SUMMIT

The Global Diaspora Business Summit (GDBS), a premier annual diaspora business event, is a ‘Bridging of Worlds’ for the various diaspora business communities globally through established networks. GDBS 2016 is the flagship event of the 4th Global Business Summits. The Summit was unique in that it is a one stop meeting point for diaspora businesses to networks; create new global business opportunities in mega projects, real estate, tourism development, contract manufacturing, IT and IT enabled services; and other globalised aspects of business and to learn from successful role models.

Following the 1st and 2nd Global Business Summits (GBS) which were successfully hosted in Singapore and Shenyang, China; the 3rd Global Business Summit was held at Kuala Lumpur. The Global Business Summits is organised by The GA Group Pte Ltd and supported by the ASEAN Legal Alliance, the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) in collaboration with the various strategic partners. The inaugural Global Business Summit was held in 2006, which was graced by then-Chief Minister of Gujarat State (now Prime Minister of India) H.E. Shri Narendra Modi and Singapore Ministers Mr. S Iswaran, Mr. Zainul Abidin and the late Dr. Balaji Sadasivan.

The flagship event of this year’s Global Business Summits (GBS) is the Global Diaspora Business Summit (GDBS) and the Global Diaspora Business Awards (GDBA). GDBS is a premier diaspora business event, organised by the GA Group Pte Ltd as a bridging and networking event for the various diaspora business communities through established networks.

Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce(SRCIC), is a non-profit and non-political international commercial organization jointly initiated and founded in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region by the chamber’s of commerce of the countries along the Silk Road and the Tang West Market Group, whose chairman of the board is the vice-president of China Chamber of International Commerce.

Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce was brought out, with the concept of openness, inclusiveness and development and the vision of globalization, SRCIC aims to build a service platform and cooperation mechanism of equality, efficiency and pragmatism.

The foundation of SRCIC is a joint initiative by international chamber of commerce of the countries along the Silk Road. In the future, each country can develop a branch of SRCIC, and the SRCIC will organize annual international summits, forums, seminars, fairs and other activities that every branch can attend. Through cooperation and communication, forum and exhibition, personnel training, investigation and visits and other activities, SRCIC aims to promote trade, cooperation and cultural exchanges among countries. SRCIC will adhere to harmony and inclusiveness, advocate civilization and tolerance, respect the development path and model of each country to benefit broader areas and more people.

SRCIC and its members will cooperate in areas of infrastructure, interconnection, industrial investment, resource development, economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, ecological protection and cooperation on the sea and other areas. They will also work together to promote the establishment of a positive, open, efficient, and convenient economic channel, so as to create an opportunity and platform of common prosperity and regional economic cooperation among countries along the original Silk Road.
