ASIA’S DIASPORA BUSINESS CONFERENCE
The GA Group Pte Ltd presents Global Diaspora Business Summit 2016 (GDBS) that will be held in conjunction with Trade and Services Summit and Climate Change & Food Security Summit. This year event is also held in conjunction with the 3rd ASEAN Legal Alliance Legal Conference.
The event has been designed specifically for successful diaspora global entrepreneurs to meet and discuss mutually beneficial business opportunities available in Singapore, the region and in the diaspora countries. This forum will act as a platform to showcase your successful business models for recognition and will also serve as an inspiration to upcoming entrepreneurs. The theme of GDBS 2016 is “Connecting Diaspora Business across regions” which intends to share insights on opportunities brought about by the development in economies of China, ASEAN and India. With the ASEAN Legal Alliance Legal Conference being held together, it is envisaged that a legal framework can be mapped out for issues that may arise as business opportunities are considered and exploited under the new developments in the region.
Summit Highlights
The Global Diaspora Business Summit (GDBS), a premier annual diaspora business event, is a “Bridging of Worlds” for the various diaspora business communities globally through established networks. GDBS 2016 is the flagship event of the 4th Global Business Summits. The Summit was unique in that it is a one stop meeting point for diaspora businesses to networks; create new global business opportunities in mega projects, real estate, tourism development, contract manufacturing, IT and IT enabled services; and other globalised aspects of business and to learn from successful role models.
Following the 1st and 2nd Global Business Summits (GBS) which were successfully hosted in Singapore and Shenyang, China; the 3rd Global Business Summit was held at Kuala Lumpur. The Global Business Summits is organised by The GA Group Pte Ltd and supported by the ASEAN Legal Alliance, the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) in collaboration with the various strategic partners. The inaugural Global Business Summit was held in 2006, which was graced by then-Chief Minister of Gujarat State (now Prime Minister of India) H.E. Shri Narendra Modi and Singapore Ministers Mr. S Iswaran, Mr. Zainul Abidin and the late Dr. Balaji Sadasivan
The flagship event of this year’s Global Business Summits (GBS) is the Global Diaspora Business Summit (GDBS) and the Global Diaspora Business Awards (GDBA). GDBS is a premier diaspora business event, organised by the GA Group Pte Ltd as a bridging and networking event for the various diaspora business communities through established networks.
